The Final Show, Ozzy Osbournes final performance for charity

Ozzy Osbourne was a man of many things, but one of the most notable being charitable. With a combined total of 36 different charities / causes supported, its easy to see that giving back was important to him. Some of the charities he supported were 21st Century Leaders, Children in Need, Elton John AIDS Foundation, Gibson Foundation, Los Angeles LGBT Center, MusiCares and Music for Relief

With an estimated total of over 11 Million USD (lifetime donations), Ozzy Osbourne carved a new path for those of us less fortunate who may have needed a helping hand.

Now, "Back To The Beginning".

On July 5th 2025 Black Sabbath set out on their final performance together on the big stage at Villa Park in Birmingham, United Kingdom. What was the reason that they would play in Birmingham of all places? Well, that was home for Black Sabbath. When they announced their final show, tickets sold out quickly, in fact all 45,000 tickets sold out in 16 minutes and fans who couldn't be there in person could still share the moment through their livestream event. 45,000 fans lined the stadium with an additional 5.8 Million fans streaming online.

Ozzy, battling various health conditions, wanted one last performance before he passed away. The Rock'N'Roll legend mustered every ounce of energy in his body for this show. "Back To The Beginning" was more than just a charity event, it was a farewell and final goodbye to fans all around the globe. What better way to say goodbye to those who have loved you for decades like a star studded, all day show?

The charitable impact was a big one, with an estimated total of 11 Million USD going to Cure Parkinsons, Birmingham Children's Hospital and Acorns Children's Hospice. The money raised was an incredible blessing but that number does seem low comparatively speaking, right?

The sheer magnitude of this show has just as big of a financial impact as it does a charitable one. The guest performances were paid for their travel expenses but they were not paid to perform. The lighting, sound, permits, food, venue, merch, streaming configuration, etc. all cost a pretty large sum of money. Simply speaking, it took moving mountains to make this show successful.

"It raised 11 [million]. But with the cost, 'cause we paid the cost of bringing everybody in, everybody out, accommodation, everything. [And] no one got paid. Nobody asked for a penny. They gave their time, their efforts, everything for free. People were just — oh God — so generous." - Sharron Osbourne

Sadly, we lost the prince of darkness shortly after the iconic show on July 22nd 2025. He will be remembered by all as a pioneer in Metal, as well as the man who gave some of his last moments to us and the children he wanted to help so badly.
